What is Uterine Cancer ?
The uterus is composed of a lower part called "cervix", commonly known as "cervix", this part is related to pregnancy and has a very important role. Has a probability of 6% malignant.
There are two types:
- Squamous cell carcinoma in 90 percent of cases
- adenocarcinoma 10 percent.
Causes:
The most important risk factor for development is: papillomavirus, especially types 16 and 18 but there are other factors: The use of snuff. Sexual promiscuity. Early age of first sexual intercourse. Large number of children. Low socioeconomic status. Endometrial hyperplasia: is the increase in the number of endometrial cells. Obesity. Diabetes. Estrogen administration. The use of tamoxifen. It is recommended to perform the test: "Pap" when women get to have sex, in an annual or every 3 years, depending on risk.
Symptoms:
cancer screening can be performed in women without symptoms. The first symptom is bleeding or postcoital between two periods, may be accompanied by heavy bleeding and smelly.
phases or stages of the tumor as http://www.aecc.es/ are:
Phase I: cancer is found in the uterus and does not affect the lymph nodes in the pelvis (this stage can be subdivided into A, B, C depending on the depth of the tumor in the wall of the uterus).
Phase II: the tumor has spread from the body of the uterus to reach the cervix or cervix.
Phase III: the lesion affects other structures outside the uterus (ovaries, vagina, glands of the pelvis) but remains confined to the pelvis.
Phase IV: cancer can affect the rectum, bladder or other organs has reached further afield.
As for deciding on treatment should know that stage is. Most
cases are diagnosed in the early stages, so the outcome is satisfactory.
The tumor cells are also classified by grade. The degree is the relationship that holds cells tumor to normal cells and shows us how quickly the tumor grows:
-Grade 1: tumor cells resemble normal and the tumor grows slowly.
-Grade 2: cells resemble those of their origin and the tumor grows faster than in grade 1.
-Grade
3.no resemble normal cells, growth is fast and spreads easily.
Diagnosis:
biopsy was performed in a pelvic exam cervix.
Treatments:
Treatment depends on tumor size and as it lies. In tumors small treatment may be optional: "surgery" or "radiotherapy", in advanced tumors "chemotherapy" or "radiation."
For the treatment of cervical cancer, experts compare different therapies to offer more possibilities of cure.
continue treatment in a series of rules that have been established based on scientific expertise, so there are a number of factors: patient age, tumor type, stage at which the tumor and the degree displayed in the cells.
Reviews:
The critical many women do of the vaccine should be free or provided by Social Security and should be vaccinated the entire female population from a certain age.
The opinions for that women make is that it is easy and simple way to acquire, at any time, any pharmacy and is a breakthrough for the health of English women.
Poll:
We conducted a small survey in a class of Bachelor of IES Cencibel. The results were as follows:
100% of the girls who have done the survey are in favor of the vaccine.
The 33.33% of girls vaccinated think.
27.7% do not know if it will. 22.2%
not think the vaccine.
The 16.6% of girls surveyed already vaccinated.
From our point of view is a breakthrough because we can prevent a deadly disease but should continue to improve. We should offer to all the English female population because many women would be unable to purchase or extend the age of free vaccine. This vaccine
avoid most of the cases, although it is a disease with a minimum percentage.
This vaccine has been so important in recent months has built a monument in his favor, in the city of Valencia.
